On all three preceding Advent weekends, guests were able to enjoy first-class après-ski events at Rosenbergalm inn in German Kronach
: at this cosy Alpine hut at an altitude of 318 metres above sea level Heißer Hirsch (’Hot Stag’ which is hot cherry punch with Jägermeister herbal liqueur) and ‘Glühbier’ (wheat beer with hot cherry punch) contributed their share to a jolly atmosphere!
But the ‘Rosenberg Ski Cup’ events were the true highlights! Besides the open town championships on Fridays and Saturdays, Advent Sundays invited winter sports athletes to participate in differently themed races such as the Sports Club’s Table of Regulars, the Fan Club, and the Company Races. And just by the way: the participants dashed down a virtual piste, not a real one: SKIGYM is training equipment for professional athletes including a large screen which guarantees for exuberant mood!
The winners of the ‘Family Race’ can rejoice over a very special prize: the Gleich family from Kronach has proved that they are all ready and set for the real-world pistes: despite ‘nasty weather conditions’ all members mastered the downhill run perfectly and can now look forward to skiing holidays in Zell am See-Kaprun. The winners of the Sports Club’s Table of Regulars races will spend some days in Pinzgau’s winter wonderland, too. Of course, we as the event’s sponsors are especially glad to welcome guests from the Frankenwald mountain range in our region soon.
One competition is yet to come, though: on the fourth Advent Sunday, 20 celebrities from politics, economy, and sports will be flocking to Kronach to dash down the virtual pistes. For every second that the participants come in behind the winner, they will donate one euro to the charity organisation ‘1000 Herzen für Kronach’ (Thousand hearts for Kronach). Please do not hesitate to support those in need in the region, too!
