‘Two bugs on my laptop’ or ‘Why I don’t like webcams’
Jul 13th, 2009 by Sebastian Kaufmann
Hello World! =)
I have to admit that doing what I am doing right now actually feels very much like this ideal job in Australian Queensland (I am talking about this Brit who is staying on Hamilton Island for six months to blog about his experience) with the exception that I have chosen to spend my life in the most beautiful region of the world, in Zell am See-Kaprun. Nowhere else is such a gorgeous Alpine pasture just a six-minute ride aboard Areitbahn cable car away but here. I have grabbed the opportunity and brought my laptop up the mountain to write a contribution for our blog. Without a doubt, it is quite a challenge to fight all the little insects which have set down on my warm screen to enjoy the sun. Yes, that’s Austria, too =). The scent of thousands of multi-coloured flowers surrounding me is really beyond description. No webcam would be able to convey this – you have to have been here once to live this experience yourself.
I am sending you the best wishes from Schmittenhöhe at an altitude of about 1,500 metres above sea level. I hope to see you soon! After all, there is plenty of space on this meadow here in Zell am See-Kaprun.
